Short Biography: JEANNE BELL is the executive director of CompassPoint Nonprofit Services—a leading provider of consulting, research, and training services to nonprofit and philanthropic organizations providing them with management tools, strategies, and resources to lead change in their communities. With 15 years of nonprofit experience largely in the Bay Area of California, Jeanne became CompassPoint's executive director in early 2007 after serving as its associate director for many years. Jeanne has done organizational development consulting and has managed research on such topics as nonprofit staff retention and executive leadership. She is on the advisory boards of the Alliance for Nonprofit Management, the Institute for Nonprofit Organization Management at the University of San Francisco, and The Nonprofit Quarterly.
