ST. PAUL, MN (October 11, 2007)—Fieldstone Alliance today announced that Gordon Goodwin, an expert in urban and rural community economic development, has joined the organization as a Principal Consultant.
“A significant portion of our work at Fieldstone Alliance involves the intersection of communities, nonprofits, and effective philanthropy,” said Carol Lukas, president of the organization. “Gordon Goodwin brings rich experience as an independent consultant to nonprofits and communities, as a foundation program manager, as a public policy researcher, in community economic development, and as a leader in forging partnerships across sectors. We are excited that he has joined our group, and look forward to his leadership in areas that are vital to the performance of the nonprofit sector.”
As a Principal Consultant, Goodwin expects to consult on strategic planning, alliances and partnerships, policy reform, public accountability for philanthropy and the development of innovative community economic revitalization efforts.
Goodwin commented, “Strengthening nonprofits and communities has been my life mission, and I am thrilled to be joining the nation’s leading organization dedicated to the same goal. I look forward to expanding Fieldstone Alliance’s work, especially in areas that improve the lives of low-income individuals.”
