National Leader and Consultant in Multicultural Competence and Systems Reform Joins Fieldstone Alliance

ST. PAUL, MN (August 16, 2007)—Fieldstone Alliance today announced that Jannina Aristy, a nationally known consultant and leader in transforming systems of care in mental health and human services, has joined the organization as a Principal Consultant.

Fieldstone Alliance’s President Carol Lukas said: “The addition of Aristy to our staff broadens our expertise and capacity to address the dramatic changes, including increased cultural competence, collaboration, and policy, that are needed to improve how health and human services and systems of care function in many of our communities. We are delighted to have Aristy on our team.”

In her role as Principal Consultant, Aristy will lead Fieldstone Alliance’s consulting work on strategic alliances, policy reform, philanthropy, and the development of innovative service and planning models related to multicultural competence in service design, delivery and reform.

About Jannina Aristy

Picture of Jannina AristyJannina Aristy has more than ten years’ experience as a consultant to federal and state government and community based organizations in both rural and urban settings. She specializes in capacity building of nonprofits, developing coalitions and networks that promote cultural identity and community integration, strategic planning, advocacy, design and administration of culturally and linguistically competent services, and multicultural reform initiatives.

Prior roles include Director of the National Cultural Competence Initiative for Children’s Mental Health at Georgetown University, Sr. Program Consultant for the Minnesota Department of Human Services, and Commissioner for the City of Hopkins.  She is the current Vice President of the National Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health.  Jannina is Latina, bilingual, and bicultural.
